thanksgiving 2011

so this thanksgiving was offically one of the sweetest thanksgivings
being in Hawaii for the past two years made me extra
thankful to be around my family.
so that's what I did all day.

6:00 am
WAKE UP

why on earth would i wake up on such a wonderful holiday.
well to run in the Father Joe's 5k in downtown SD with my wonderful
cousin MARK.
(pre race)
last time i did a "turkey trot" i was in third grade.
it was at orange glen elementary school and we got otter pops upon completion.
so this was quite an experience. it was really neat because one. the proceeds when
to Father Joes. Which is an organization set up to feed the homeless.
two. it was in balboa park, which could be argued as one of the most beautiful
urban park in all of California.
it was fun starting off the race zigzagging around people trying to get to a spot where
you could actually run. me and mark both finished without taking any walking breaks!!
(seeing how i haven't run in forever due to yoga this was pretty neat) GO US.

(Hawk's Head)

Next it was up to Riley's Farm in Oak Glen.
where we are family. Every year we having Thanksgiving dinner here.
it's a place where they grow apples, take you on pioneer treks, do civil war reenactments

basically it is the perfect place for thanksgiving to be celebrated.
Jim closes shop on the restraunt and opens it up to the Riley and Fawcett family for dinner, hayride, gun shooting.
(me and my little cousin Ryan. he's a stud.)
(if you didn't know Riley's and Fawcetts are very Right winged.)

throughout this day i couldn't help but be so thankful for the greatest of blessing that I have been given, LIFE
this life is so
very beautiful. and i truly believe so is everyone who i share it is too.
let every work you speak be to uplift.
this life has been given to us from our heavely father.
trusting in him and living his commandments will only bring us happiness and gratitude.

I am grateful that i know the fullness of the gospel.

"
Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
