what a year.

it was just about a year ago i graduated college.

ten months ago that i left my island to no longer call it home
six months ago that i got my first grown up job working 8am-5pm Mon-Fri.
2 months since i started my yoga teacher training program.

it's been a great year filled with great people


it's been the year of dating.
but no boyfriends. i was kinda stuck on this one boy.
i always thought he was mr. perfect.
i overlooked all his flaws and saw him as my boywonder.
but after a little event i realized he was no boywonder.
i got unstuck real quick.
and i've been dating with more of an open mind.

last night i went on a double date with a dear friend and her man.
her man had a friend who wanted to go on a date. apparently he noticed my dancing skills on the boat dance.
so we planned an outing. we went to jingle jungle. out to sushi. then the the shout house.
this boy was pretty great. he liked me for me. sang and shout with me at the shout house downtown.
we took our walk back to the car. it was 1:30 am and chilly.

boy put his arm around me as we walked.
he sent cute little texts goodnight.
asked me out the next day.
it was good.


i'll let you know what happens.

but i've gotten kind of sick of dating. i'm ready to settle down.
but i'm not ready to settle.
