date night.

tonight i'm enjoying a lovely date with norm. ooo he's so much fun to be with. except there's a problem. he never really lets me get to say anything. it's all about him and assets and liabilities. i wonder does he even really care about the outfit i picked out for this exciting evening date that i've been thinking about going on all day? i'm starting to think no. the other down side is he's a playa. yep that's right norm is a player. and he's currently playing on about 5 computers within my very eye sight.

okay i lied it's not a date. it's homework. and probably the most tedious homework i have. i've been dreading it all day. i would have done it earlier but i left my head phones at home. DOPE. i would much rather read a book than watch dvd's of this middle age man on the library's computer.

o great a note just flashed up on my computer informing me that curfew is at 9 and i'm going to have to leave the library. lameeee. guess me and norm are going to have to continue our venture into the interesting world of accounting some other day.

mahalo and goodnight family

library

in this wanna be cubical in the library i sit. i'm sitting here trying to bring myself to finish that dang research paper. i've found it extremely hard to do school work at home. the house gets entirely too hot and then i look out of the front windows and see gorgeous blue water that taunts me with it's white foaming waves. which is why i'm sitting in this silent grossly florescent library.

last night was oddles of fun. me and chris where having one of our little chats and tommy came over and made me another birthday cake with some of our friends and sang happy birthday to me. it was a delightful celebration. during all of the fun ryan came over to study for our big accounting test. me and ryan were not very successful in studying, due to my internet being lame so instead we giggled and looked at pictures on my computer. ryan just got a new motorcycle...so what better to do during a study session than go out for a night ride. it was just about one of the funnest things ever.

"we were going 110"-C
"yep"-r
"RYANNNNN we don't even have helmet on."-C

after our ride we decided that we really did need to study so we came to school and sat on a bench outside of the library and did some real studying. we had to stop cause i got ever so sleepyyy.

................i really should write this paper. to make matters worse my tye dye bracelet that kyle smith gave me sophomore year on the back of the track bus broke. i've had this bracelet for such long time and almost always wear it (it's the bracelet in my header picture.) it's tye dye was so buttery it made me happy. way bogus that it's broken.

birthday

this morning was absolutely delightful. i woke up to a phone full of happy birthday texts. thank you to all those who sent them. after venturing out of my room and going into the hall i was showered with tons of happy birthday's from my roommates. they prepared for me a lovely breakfast of french toast, fruit and some delicious rice milk. it was wonderful. after breakfast they gave me a bouquet of roses. (every year my mom buys me roses this was the first year i was away and couldn't buy me them.)
they also got me a lovely white and purple lai to wear to church. i love my roommates they are more than anything i could have wished for. i forgot to mention yesterday that i got a package from my parents for my birthday. it had a 250 gig external hard drive which i needed because my computer's memory is so very full due to all the fabulous pictures that i have. they also sent me a web camera so that i could have web chats with them. and a life time supply of delectable chocolates. i also received a package from my dearest friend ashley allison. i am so lucky to have this little lady in my life. she is probably the cutest friend in the world. and here packages brought a huge smile to my face. so today my dad used log me on a program that lets him control my computer from home and he installed my camera and me my dad and my mom had a little chat. o my goodness it was one of the funnest things that i have ever done. i loved every second of it. especially since my parents are hilarious people. if your away from your loved ones i would recommend using a web cam. it's way better than talking on the phone.

(some fun with my computer's 100th new addition.)

after using the web cam i made a brazilian dinner for everyone in my house and some of the boys came over. it turned out sooo good. and abby made me an ice cream cake for desert.. i have no clue how she was able to make an ice cream cake but she seriously did it better than the pros. my birthday was so much fun thanks to the four magnificent ladies that live at my house. now i have to finish my research paper and study for ryan. goodbye weekend. hello school and responsibly.

Once upon a time there were two girls, whose names where whitney and allie. they had the wonderful idea of collecting frogs and placing them in the waterpolo house. o the surprise that those boys came home to. of course those boys had a little bit of payback in order so for 2 days straight allie and whitney were getting calls at all hours of the night inquiring about the free beach cruiser and free washer that they posted on craig's list. (whitney was probably averaging 3 calls for ever 10 minutes.)...well it didn't stop there. someone got the boys back buy rearranging all their closets and freezing half of their t-shirts. they boys feeling they needed to get someone back of course turned to mine and whiteny's beloved room. While we were in honolulu those little rascals snuck into our house and placed shredded paper. everywhere. in our dressers, bed, closet.........
(whyyy us?)
anywhooo. the lovely ladies that i lived with took me out to macaroni grill in honolulu for my birthday. it was very sweet of them. we enjoyed a lovely dinner, followed by one of my favorite things. shopping. o the mall in honolulu is fantastically giant. it has just about every store that you heart could desire. here are some pictures from the evening:

(19th birthday cake)

(waiting for marrisa.)

today we went to the movies and saw eagle eye. i absolutely adore Shia LaBeouf. he is most defiantly one of my favorite actors. i loved in in evan stevens and i believe that he continues to be a witty and entertaining actor. the movie was action packed and fun. i would recommend seeing it if you in a stump for something to watch.

one month.

o yes the joys of college. research papers. and this paper i've been avoiding like the black plague of 1861. from taking naps to doing all my other home work (i'm pretty sure i've done all my history homework for the next week.) to writing this very blog. it's not that it's even a long paper. or even hard to write. it's just something that i'm not very excited about doing... another thing that i am not excited about is norm.

(this is where norm lives. yes, on this cd)

norm is an accounting professor at byu who has an accounting dvd that my teacher uses instead of a book. the lessons are around an hour and a half. but lucky you can listen to norm up to twice his normal speed. i honestly don't know what i would do if this nifty little feature was not an option. to make matters worse i can't run the dvd on my computer so i have to go to the library to watch him. this is extremely inconvenient.

wells such is life. or i guess such is college. i guess i should do a little more homework before going to bed. i'm excited for tomarrow's events. it's the start of my birthday week. a week involving fun stuff in honor of my birthday. which just so happens to be this sunday. i'll be nineteeeeen.

& i miss that little boy very much.

when it rains

when it rains. it pours. being a child of southeren california i am not used to the rain. not one bit. this morning i woke up and went on my daily run down the beach (nothing starts off a run like shake shake it by metrostation). after i got home it started rained for awhile then it stopped. the conditions looked good. i thought to myself ... hey i don't need a poncho or anything i'll be good. so i hoped on my amazing red bike and off to school i went. well I didn't even get to the temple and it started to drizzel, i started to think maybe i should have grabed that poncho that's stuffed in the back of our hall closet, but it wasn't too bad. o well a little rain never killed anyone. so i kept riding. well i got to the temple and the heavens opened up and the there were buckets of water pouring down on me. if i looked up i couldn't see anything so i had to ride with my head down. by the time i got to school i was soaked, so i went to the bathroom to dry off.... the curious thing about this whole situation is that i went into the library to use the computers and not one other person was the least bit wet. i'm not exactly sure how they were able to do this but could someone please share this secert with me!

sunday

oooh how i love sundays. today was amazing. i woke up and went to the beach to read my scriptures. reading about the battles of captain moroni and helaman i got lost into scripture study and was out there for an hour then it started to rain on me so i came on in.. since church startes at the terribly late hour of two i decided to play around with the new scrap book web site that my friend showed me yesterday. o my golly i am in loveeeeeeee. if you know me i abosolutly adore scrap booking making cards and what not. i like to think that i'm pretty good at it too. i used the program to make the header for my blog. after spending an afternoon of on line scrap booking it was finally time for church. church was good, but i was extremly sleepy due to the lack of an afternoon nap. when i got out it had just stopped raining. talk about lucky.every sunday i like to walk home from church so i can take a walk on temple grounds... by the time i got to the temple the sun was peeking through the clouds the temple looked so majesticly gorgeous. it was an amazing trip home. i love the church with all my heart and soul. it means soo very much to me. life is amazing.

so today was just so much fun that i had to put up some pictures and tell some stories about the activities of today. well as previously mention me and whitney took a trip up to north shore. there's no radio in my dear friend whitney's truck... the drive is very therapeutic it was nice getting to think about things... while thinking i really realized that i'm supposed to be here, with every day and every person that i meet it confirms it even more... anywhoo back to my story. so we get to the town.

(the town.)

and whitney did some shopping. i've been amazoning stuff so much lately that i felt no need to shop. so me and my dear friend chris had a little chat. oo how i love chris mevs. so after shopping (which didn't take very long due to the fact that there are like 2 shops in the town.) we went to go get a guacamole burger. now if you are jake aka my husband or brittany aka besttie for life you would would know that i love these wonderful little creations and have deadly cravings for them. we waited in a line as long as a trip to the moon just to find out that they didn't accept debit cards. i was about to cry but whitney knew where an atm machine was (i don't know what i'd do with out her). well we ordered our food. short shorty long my food took 20 minutes longer than whitney's to be ready to ordered. it was a terrible experience and i thought they wait was not going to be worth it, but as soon as i took my first bite into perfection i was happy again.

(i made quite the mess of my burger and had to use like a million paper towels to clean off my hands.)

me and whitney were going to go to waimea and meet some people to jump off the rock but whitney was not feeling so well so she just dropped me off. i found the people we were meeting up with and it was all cliff jumping cave diving playing in the waves goodness. all in all it was a perfect saturday on the island. love chellyy

Hawaii. lets seee. where do i begin? i do love it out it. my hair on the other hand does not. this is why i have become a fan of wearing my hair up. speaking of which i swear my hair is getting blonder with each new day. i love it. o i finally got my camera (amazon is heaven here. free shipping amazingness. ) since my other camera broke the 2nd day i got here due to water damage i decided that i needed an indistructable camera....well a couple of months ago i was at my friend pat owsley's house and we were comparing my sweeettt cannon power shot with his olympus stylius. he admitted that mine was better but his was waterproof and in hawaii that is a must what with all the waterfalls ocean rain every day. so i remembered this and decided that i needed one of these amazing cameras. so i got the olympus stylius 1030 sw. 10.1 megapixel with a wide zoom lens. oo how excited i was about the wide zoom lens. brittany got a Kodak camera with a wide zoom lens which in turn laura and karli both bought cause of the funnnness that you can get with taking a picture with it.

so where i live. the bus stop house. rightfully named for the bus stop in front of our house. i live in the front house which is such a nice blessing because we are located ocean front and get the most wonderful breeeze that flows through it all of our house. on the same lot of land as us is the waterpolo house where 9 of the most adventurous little boys from never never land live. they entertain us with guitar hero, hikes, weekly bbq's, dance parties, cookies, prank wars, an amazing napping hammock etc .etc. about the town i live it. well it's small. the largest store is foodland the local overpriced grocery store. then there is a taco bell, L&L's, McDonald's, and to my heart's dismay a water damage subway that looks like it won't be open for a very long time even thought it has a sign on it saying opening soon.

now for the roommates. oo how i go so incredibly lucky. my roomate is whitney.she is a doll. she's from murreitta. and it just so happens that i once went on a double date with someone that she used to date. whitney just bought a truck because she goes to school all the way down in honolulu which is quite the journey to be making twice a week with out a vehicle. Since our town is so small i need to leave it at least once a week. Whitney has been soo kind as to share weekend adventures to haleiwa for some north shore goodness or shopping trips to costco. then there is ashley she is the captain of the soccer team here and is almost never home due to soccer work and school. speaking of never being home she leaves in a hour for a trip with the soccer girls to the mainland. then there is abby. oo me and abby have a system because i never was taught how to cook i buy ingredients and she cooks. it works lovely. abby also works at the campus bakery, and loves to bake so between all the treats that the boys bring over and abby's love for baking around in the kitchen we always have some kind of goodies in the house. i swear it will be the death of me. lastly is marrissa she like ashley is not home much due to her school and work commitments but we enjoy lovely morning chats almost every morning while everyone else is away.

these succkers are called acai bowls. and they are develishly good. well there's more but me and whitney are going shopping in north shore and out to lunch soo i got to go. i miss everyone form home and love them dearlyyy.
